Summary

We are seeking a senior SRE to lead resilient deployment and operations for a hybrid API ecosystem. This role focuses on designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for .NET Core REST APIs while supporting legacy WCF/SOAP services, with an emphasis on secure, automated, and zero-downtime delivery. The position offers the opportunity to shape pipeline automation, containerization, monitoring, and certificate management across cloud and on-prem environments using Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and related Microsoft stack technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for .NET Core REST API deployments using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Automate testing and deployment processes for both new .NET Core services and legacy WCF/SOAP services.
  • Manage blue-green deployment strategies to enable zero-downtime migrations and releases.
  • Implement automated rollback mechanisms for failed deployments to minimize service disruption.
  • Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into deployment pipelines.
  • Implement containerization strategies for .NET Core applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring and logging solutions for API services using Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor and log aggregation tools.
  • Manage certificate lifecycle and rotation for OAuth and transit security in production environments.
  • Configure load balancing and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability of API services.
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to implement secure deployment practices for OAuth 2.0 and MFA systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure automation.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform and services and Azure DevOps workflows.
  • Understanding of .NET Core deployment and hosting and knowledge of IIS and Windows Server administration.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor and log aggregation tools like ELK stack or Splunk.
  • Understanding of OAuth 2.0 and certificate management and experience with security scanning tools and practices.

Nice to Have

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, or similar).
  • Experience with legacy system migrations involving WCF/SOAP to REST transitions.
  • Knowledge of database administration and backup strategies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
