SSr. DevOps Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a part-time, Semi-Senior (SSr) DevOps Engineer based in Latin America to join our technology and infrastructure team. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing AWS cloud environments, and supporting containerized workloads using Azure DevOps and Terraform.

As a part-time engineer, you will collaborate closely with our engineering teams to accelerate product delivery, automate infrastructure operations, and improve system reliability. This position is 100% remote for candidates in LATAM and requires fluent Spanish communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards) to streamline deployment processes.
• Support, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configurations using Terraform to ensure reliable, reproducible deployments.
• Manage containerized applications and workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS / EKS).
• Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and assist in incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with software development squads to foster a DevOps culture and streamline release management.
• Assist in writing technical documentation, system runbooks, and infrastructure diagrams.
• Ensure infrastructure security through proper secret management and access control.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of proven professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Fluent or native Spanish communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate effectively with LATAM-based teams.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps, including YAML pipelines, service connections, and artifact management.
• Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically writing and applying Terraform configurations.
• Solid experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python for automation tasks.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Located in Latin America (LATAM) with availability to work on a part-time schedule.

Nice to Have

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator).
• Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Familiarity with secrets management tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
