Senior QA Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Senior QA Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of complex web applications through comprehensive test execution, thoughtful test planning, and close collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

This role goes far beyond executing documented test cases. We are looking for a QA professional who deeply understands business workflows, thinks critically, challenges assumptions, and identifies risks before they become production issues. Your primary mission is simple: ensure we build products our users can trust.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for new features, integration, and regression cycles.
• Validate complete end-to-end business workflows, calculations, permissions, and data consistency across the platform.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing on web applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira, verifying bug fixes and performing thorough impact analysis.
• Review product requirements early in the development lifecycle to provide QA feedback and catch edge cases or missing scenarios.
• Perform API testing using Postman (or similar tools) and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity.
• Independently discover undocumented scenarios and think beyond basic acceptance criteria to uncover hidden risks.
• Support release validation activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of overall QA processes.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to ensure alignment on quality standards throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) testing complex web applications.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proven experience designing, writing, and maintaining clear, comprehensive test cases and suites.
• Solid experience conducting functional, integration, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or similar.
• Working SQL knowledge to perform data interrogation and database validation.
• Proficient with defect tracking and test management platforms such as Jira and TestRail.
• Exceptional critical thinking: a natural ability to ask what could break, challenge missing requirements, and uncover edge cases.
• Professional English proficiency (intermediate or higher, written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience testing financial, Fintech, or enterprise business software.
• Experience testing AI-powered products or LLM-based applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment cycles.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA software certification.
