Sr. Fullstack

Summary

We’re seeking a senior fullstack developer to help revive and evolve the Spark platform. This role focuses on building and scaling a modern web application using a TypeScript stack (React, Node.js, PostgreSQL) within an Azure AKS-hosted microservices environment. This is a high-autonomy, ownership-focused position on a small remote team where you’ll influence architecture, work with AI-assisted development tools, and integrate with third-party systems used across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve web frontends using React and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain backend services with Node.js, including API development and integrations.
• Contribute to deployment and operational decisions within an AKS-hosted Azure microservices architecture.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT-style assistants) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Participate in architecture discussions and help shape technical direction alongside the team lead.
• Integrate applications with HubSpot, Bullhorn ATS, and Microsoft Entra Authentication.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code with maintainability in mind.
• Collaborate asynchronously within a small, distributed remote team and communicate progress clearly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js (backend) and React (frontend).
• Strong experience working with TypeScript in fullstack development environments.
• Strong backend development experience designing APIs, handling integrations, and managing data workflows.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT-style assistants as part of daily workflows.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience working in cloud environments, including Azure services and AKS.
• Ability to own services end-to-end and work autonomously on a small remote team with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, or work samples demonstrating production experience.
• Commitment to writing maintainable, well-documented, and testable code.
• Experience working in cloud environments. Azure experience is preferred, with exposure to services such as AKS, Blob Storage, or App Services considered valuable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work autonomously on a small remote team.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, or work samples demonstrating production experience.
• Commitment to writing maintainable, well-documented, and testable code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js or NestJS.
• Experience with microservices or event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience with AI/ML integrations in real-world applications.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CI/CD pipeline design.
• Background with authentication systems such as OAuth/SSO and and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience integrating CRM/ATS platforms like Bullhorn or HubSpot.
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal side projects that demonstrate initiative.
